Sandys Canyon is an easy, short hike in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in northern Arizona, about 2.6 miles long and rising roughly 14 feet from its low point at 6,628 feet to its high of 6,834 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced, not accessible. Late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Flagstaff Pulliam airport weather station show May highs around 68°F and October highs around 64°F, while July and August bring more frequent wet days and the warmest highs near 82°F. The Canyon Vista hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and the climbing areas The White Wall and The Shooting Gallery sit about 0.2 mile off. Marshall Lake, about 3.5 miles away, offers lake fishing.
