Brads is an easy, short hike in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 2 miles, with a low point of 6,591 feet and a high of 6,680 feet, so the climb is only about 6 feet. The trail surface is natural. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 69°F to 76°F and lows in the low 40s. July and August are warmer, with highs in the low 80s, and August brings the most wet days of the year. The trailhead parking is at a site named JANICE. Mud Tank, Iron Springs Connector and Rocky Road all lie about 0.1 mile away. For climbing, The Waterfall is about 5.7 miles off, and Manzanita campground is about 6.1 miles away.
