The Double Clutching Wall is a climbing area in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, including The Waterfall, The Right Wall and The Main Amphitheater-Fall Wall, all within about a tenth of a mile. The routes here are all trad, and they range from 5.11- to 5.13b/c. Double Clutching, the namesake route, is 5.11- and was first climbed by Tim Toula and Stan Mish in 1985. Terminal Mocha is 5.11, and Thin Faith, the hardest listed route, is 5.13b/c. The area also has 11:11, a 5.12- route also known as "Welcome to the Waterfall." Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Oak Creek Canyon weather station, which sits a few hundred feet lower, show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 74°F, while July averages about 90°F. North Wilson #123 is a hike about 0.4 miles away, and Manzanita campground is about 0.9 miles off. Oak Creek, a paddling spot, is about 1.7 miles away, and Cave Springs campground is about 4.5 miles away.
