Old Still Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Lake Guntersville State Park in northern Alabama, managed by State Park and Recreation. The route covers about a mile and a quarter, with a total climb of roughly 280 feet to a high point of about 880 feet. That makes it a gentle way to stretch your legs before or after exploring other trails nearby. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 73°F with lows near 53°F, and April is similar at about 72°F by day and 50°F at night. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run a little cooler. The trail is close to several other routes. Dry Falls Trail is about 0.2 miles away, Butler's Pass is about 0.3 miles, and Ken's Pass is about 0.4 miles. For climbers, Guntersville Roof lies about a mile off.
