Dry Falls Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Lake Guntersville State Park in Alabama, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is about 0.65 miles long, and the round trip covers roughly 1.3 miles with a total elevation gain of about 465 feet. The climb is steepest near the start, with a grade of about 29% at 0.16 miles, and the trail reaches a high point of about 1,069 feet before returning to the starting elevation of about 730 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 73°F with lows near 53°F, and April is similar at about 72°F by day and 50°F at night. That station sits about 470 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. The hike takes about half an hour. Old Still Trail is just 0.2 miles away, and Butler's Pass and Ken's Pass are each about 0.5 miles off. Climbers can find Guntersville Roof about 0.8 miles away.
