About JACKSON CREEK

Jackson Creek is located one hour 40 minutes southeast of Chemult, Oregon. Jackson Creek is a tranquil and secluded campground with 12 campsites scattered under a canopy of old-growth ponderosa and Jeffery pines. Some aspen trees and wild roses add a splash of color. Lined with willows, Jackson Creek riffles through the south side of the campground. There are some small brook trout in the creek and other wildlife that stop by are deer, badgers. In the meadow across the creek, wildflowers bloom throughout the summer. There is a rustic cabin just past the entrance sign that gets used in the winter as a warming hut for snowmobilers and other winter recreation enthusiasts. Amenities include, a picnic table and fire ring at each site, three vault toilets and an information board. There is no potable water. Visitors need to bring an adequate supply of water.
