Swift Creek Spire is a climbing area in the Greys River Ranger District of Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking destinations, with Swift Creek Canyon about half a mile away and North Fork Swift Creek at a similar distance. The climbing here is sport and trad, with six routes in total. Five are sport routes, and one is the Idaho Fall Route, a trad climb rated 5.8+ with a first ascent by the Idaho Falls Mountaineering Club. The sport routes run from 5.10d up to 5.12-, with Pull the Plug at 5.11b and Hustler and Walking in L.A. at 5.12-. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Afton, which sits a few hundred feet lower than the spire, show July highs around 80°F with lows near 44°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-20s. Swift Creek Campground is about 2 miles away, and the North Fork Swift Creek hike starts half a mile off. Cottonwood Lake Campground and the Salt River paddling route are both within about 9 miles.
