Palisades Creek is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within Idaho's Snake River Area of Critical Environmental Concern. The land is managed by the BLM, and the area sits among a cluster of climbing spots and hikes in the Snake River country. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Swan Valley weather station show July highs around 85°F with lows near 46°F, and September still reaching about 75°F. Winter is cold, with January highs around 30°F and lows near 11°F. The area has three sport routes, all rated from 5.9+ to 5.13a. They are King of the Road (5.9+), Toys in the Attic (5.12c) and Ages of You (5.13a). Weeping Cave lies just 0.2 miles away, so climbers can pair the two areas in one outing. Nearby hikes include Little Sheep, about 2.3 miles off, and Yeaman Creek, about 2.7 miles away. Riverside Park Campground & Day Use Area is about 3.4 miles away, and the South Fork of the Snake River: Conant Boat Access offers river fishing about 9.8 miles away.
