Solar Sanctuary is a climbing area in the Rawlins Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management in Wyoming, about 1.5 miles from the Rawlins 1n weather station. It sits among several other named climbing areas on the Rawlins Uplift, including Watchtowers and Underworld, both within a mile, and Owl Roofs about 1.7 miles away. The area has five routes, four of which are sport climbs and one is mixed. Grades run from 5.7 to 5.13a, with Convection at 5.10a/b and Tectonic Levitation at 5.13a as the hardest. The first ascents of most of these routes were done by RockDoc and TP, with Tectonic Levitation by RockDoc and Jr. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical July averages from the nearby weather station run to a high of 82°F and a low of 55°F, while winter highs stay around 31°F.
