The Amphitheater is a climbing area in Wyoming's Laramie Peak Wildlife Habitat Management Area, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Hightower, Rendezvous Buttress and The Tunnel all about 0.1 mile away. The area's climbing is sport and mixed, with grades ranging from 5.10b to 5.12b. Five routes are listed, including Pseudo Scalars (5.10b, mixed) and Twenty Red Lights (5.11c, sport). The hardest is Fading in My Own Parade at 5.12b. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 84°F in July, with September easing to about 74°F. That station sits roughly 650 feet lower than the area, so temperatures here run a little cooler.
