Skyline Tr is an 11.5-mile out-and-back hike in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, within the Jackson Ranger District. The trail starts at about 7,400 feet and climbs to a high point of 8,165 feet, with a total elevation gain of 513 feet. The trail is a natural-surface route, and it is not accessible. Bikes and horses are both allowed. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated hard. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July and August highs reach about 80°F with lows near 40°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Bondurant. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. The open season runs from July 1 to May 1, which may be a typo. Plan for a full day on the trail, and expect a long, steady climb to the high point. Nearby, the Skyline Trail mountain biking route starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Tananger Trail and Snow King Nature Trail are both within a mile. Curtis Canyon Campground is about 6 miles off.
