Cache Creek is a moderate out-and-back hike of about 11 miles in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, within the Jackson Ranger District. The trail rises from a low point of about 6,450 feet to a high of around 7,657 feet, a gain of 1,076 feet, and the Forest Service manages the land. The Cache Creek Trailhead sits at the start of the route. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Jackson, Wyoming, show July highs near 79°F with lows around 41°F, and September still runs in the upper 60s by day. That station sits roughly 1,400 feet below the high point, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The trail is on natural surface and allows both bikes and horses. The trailhead is open year-round.
