North Fork South Piney is a 7.4-mile out-and-back hike in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, on the Big Piney Ranger District. The trail climbs from about 8,286 feet to about 9,990 feet, a gain of roughly 1,600 feet, and is rated moderate. The route is on natural surface, and the Forest Service allows horses and bikes. The open season runs from May 1 to October 31. South Piney Creek is about 1.5 miles away, and Middle Fork Fish Creek and Fish Creek are each within about 2 miles. For an overnight base, Middle Piney Lake Campground sits about 5.3 miles off.
