Ferrins Trail is a 5.7-mile out-and-back hike in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, within the Jackson Ranger District. The trail rises from about 6,544 feet to about 7,654 feet, a climb of 1,113 feet one way, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open from May 1 through October 31. The trail is a natural-surface route that allows both horses and bikes. The Cache Creek Trailhead is the parking for the trip, and the trail starts close to the Cache Creek and River Trail hikes, each about 0.2 miles away. The Hagen Trail, a mountain biking route, is also within a short distance. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Jackson, about 2.3 miles away, show July highs near 79°F with lows around 41°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-20s and regular snow days. Nearby, the Jackson Hole climbing area is about 1.4 miles away, and Curtis Canyon Campground is about 4.9 miles away.
