Clocktower Cr Trail is a 4.6-mile out-and-back hike in the Wapiti Ranger District of Wyoming's Shoshone National Forest. The route starts at the Clocktower Trailhead, a Forest Service access point with parking at the Clocktower lot, and climbs from a low of about 5,970 feet to a high of roughly 6,766 feet, a gain of about 795 feet over the course of the trip. The trail is rated hard. Its natural surface, accessibility and the ability to ride bikes and ride horses make it a trail that works for a range of visitors. The Forest Service has marked it as accessible. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station run to a high of about 83°F and a low near 51°F, though that station sits roughly 1,200 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. The station also records about six wet days a month from June through August. Pagoda Cr Trail and Nameit Cr Trail both lie within about a mile and a half of the trail, and Big Game Campground is about 1.4 miles away. Wapiti Campground is about 2.4 miles off.
