Junkyard Area is a climbing area in New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in West Virginia, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Dog Wall just 0.1 mile away and Beer Wall about 0.2 mile off. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 75°F and September highs around 78°F, with lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. The Junkyard Area Trail and the Hawks Nest Connector Trail both start about half a mile away. For paddling, Manns Creek is roughly 9 miles off.
