Head Wall is a climbing area in New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in West Virginia, on land managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a tight cluster of crags, which makes it easy to pair with neighboring walls in the same outing. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable climbing weather. A nearby weather station at Hawks Nest records typical averages of a 68°F high in April and October, with typical October lows around 43°F. July averages reach about 84°F.
