Bridge Area is a climbing area in New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in West Virginia, managed by the National Park Service. It sits within the park's network of climbing spots, and several other climbing areas lie right around it. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 75°F and September highs around 78°F, with lows in the 40s and 50s. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the park's high ground, so temperatures up high run a little cooler. The 5 First Strike Area and 4 Promised Area are both about 0.1 mile away, and the Burnwood Trail is about 0.2 mile off. For a change of pace, Manns Creek offers canoeing roughly 9 miles away.
