Ali Bubba Cave is a bouldering area in West Virginia, about half a mile from the town of Edmond. It is a compact cluster of boulders, and several other climbing areas sit within a short walk, making it easy to pair with other routes in the same corner of the state. The cave's namesake route, Ali Bubba, is a boulder problem rated V8-9. Bubba Hotep is the hardest listed route at V10. The other routes in the area run from V4 up, so climbers can find problems for a range of skill levels. The best months for a visit tend to be September and October, when typical highs run in the mid-70s and lows near 40s and 50s, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Oak Hill. That station sits about 9 miles away and at a similar elevation to the cave, so its figures are a fair guide to what to expect here. Several other climbing areas are close by. Beauty Mountain and 7) Thunder Buttress are each about 0.4 miles away, and 3) The Brain is a similar distance. Hikers can also reach the Headhouse Trail within about half a mile.
