Lower Icicle Canyon is a climbing area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington, about 1.7 miles from the Leavenworth weather station. It sits among several other climbing areas and trails, making it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding canyon. The area has 12 routes, with styles split evenly among mixed, sport and trad climbing. Grades run from 5.7 to 5.10a, with the hardest route being Robin Hood at 5.10a. Among the listed routes are Geriatric Crack, a trad climb at 5.7, and Chiller, a mixed climb at 5.8. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Leavenworth station show July and August highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F and only about three wet days a month. Winter is cold, with January highs around 34°F and lows near 19°F. Purina Crags is just 0.1 mile away, and Underhill is 0.3 mile off. The Snow Lakes Trail is also 0.3 mile away. For an overnight stay, Eightmile Group Site is about 2.9 miles from the canyon.
