The Forest is a bouldering area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of Washington's Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several small climbing areas, with Warmup boulder and Evil Petting Zoo both about a tenth of a mile away. The area's six routes are all boulders, graded from V0 to V5. Spooner is the easiest at V0, and The Savage Act is the hardest at V5. The V1 routes Mossline and Swamp Thing offer a slightly more challenging option. For timing, summer is the warmest stretch, with typical July and August highs around 87°F and lows near 50°F. Those are typical averages from a nearby weather station in Leavenworth, which sits a few hundred feet lower than the climbing area. Spring and fall are cooler, with May and September highs in the low to mid 70s. The Tumwater Penstock Trail is about half a mile away, and the Tumwater Mountain Trail is about 2 miles off. For overnight stays, Bridge Creek Group Site and Eightmile Group Site are both a little under 4 miles away.
