The Beach and Forest Area is a bouldering area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, in Washington. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits close to the town of Leavenworth, with the nearby Leavenworth weather station about 2.8 miles away. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the four routes on record range from V3 to V8 on the V scale. Among them is The U-boat at V8, the hardest, and a V3 and V4 for climbers looking for something simpler. Summer is the warmest stretch, with typical July and August highs around 87°F and lows near 50°F, while winter brings typical January highs around 34°F and lows near 19°F, according to averages from the nearby Leavenworth weather station. Those figures are typical averages from a nearby station, and they run a few degrees warmer than the area's own elevation, which sits a little higher than the station. Dildome and The Beach Parking Boulders are both climbing areas within a third of a mile. Hikers can take the Tumwater Penstock Trail, and Bridge Creek Group Site offers camping about 3.8 miles away.
