Contractor Rock is a climbing area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of Washington's Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. It sits just a few hundred yards from Mountaineer's Dome and Contractor's Areas and Surf City, so the names are often linked together in the same cluster. The climbing here is sport climbing, with one mixed route, and the grade range is 5.6 through 5.10-. Six routes are listed, including Plumb Bob at 5.6 and Pipe Leak at 5.10-, which is the hardest. Most of them were first ascended by Don and Joyce Cossel, with Jim Phillips on a few. Summer is the warmest stretch. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Leavenworth show July and August highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F, and those months also see the fewest wet days of the year. Snow Lakes Trail starts about 0.8 miles away, and Eightmile Group Site offers camping about 3 miles off. Peshastin Creek, a paddling spot, is roughly 6 miles away.
