Clamshell Cave is a climbing area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, with several other destinations within a short distance. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Leavenworth show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 78°F, with July and August peaking near 87°F. That station sits about 800 feet lower than the cave, so temperatures here run cooler.
