British Boulder is a bouldering area in Washington's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Babylon Boulder and Mongolian Boulder each about 0.1 mile away. The area has six bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V0 to V7. The easiest is Balance of Power at V0, and the hardest is Notre Dame at V7. The median grade is V3, so climbers can find problems to suit a range of abilities. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 81 to 82°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs near 38°F and rain on most days. Nearby, the Little Wind River offers canoeing about 0.7 mile away, and Wind Mountain Trail is a hike about 2.2 miles off. For an overnight stay, Wyeth Campground is about 3.8 miles away.
