Viento Wall is a sport climbing area in Viento State Park, Oregon, within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The land is managed as city land, and the park sits along the Oregon side of the Gorge. The climbing here is all sport, with 41 routes spread across the wall. The grades run from 5.10a up to 5.14, with the median around 5.13a. Some of the named routes include The Warm Up at 5.10a, Winds of Plague at 5.12a, and Heathen Direct, an open project at 5.14. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 82°F with only about two wet days a month, while winter brings highs near 40°F and rain on most days. The Water Tank Trail and Starvation Ridge Cutoff Trail #414B are both within a mile. Windy Slab, another climbing area, is about 3.7 miles away, and Wyeth Campground is about 4.4 miles away.
