Upper Bowl is a bouldering area in Washington's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, managed by the Forest Service. It sits right next to the Lower (Main) Area, about 0.1 mile away, and is part of the climbing network that runs along the gorge's edge. The area is all bouldering, with seven routes spread across the V3 to V7 range. Money Shot and Red Eye Traverse are the easiest at V3, and Slashface is the hardest at V7. The boulders make it a compact destination for a short session on the rock. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Bonneville Dam weather station show July and August highs around 79 to 80°F with only four or five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and rain on most days. The Equestrian Trail and West Hardy Ridge Trail are both within a mile, and the Northwest Face climbing area is about 1.4 miles away. For an overnight stay, Eagle Creek Overlook is about 5 miles off.
