Wedekind is a mountain biking route in Washington, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources and located about a mile from the start point. It is an out-and-back ride of roughly 2 miles, with a one-way climb of about 240 feet from a low point of 1,405 feet to a high of 1,659 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about half a mile in, with a grade of about 23%. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Olympia show July and August highs around 78°F with only about five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and rain on about 20 days a month. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the climb run cooler. The Greenline Tie and Greenline routes both start about 0.4 miles away, and the Crestline route is about 0.9 miles off. For a change of pace, the Crestline Trail hike lies about a mile away.
