Greenline Tie is a short, out-and-back mountain biking route in Washington, on state land managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It covers about 2.8 miles with a total elevation gain of about 226 feet, rising from a low of about 1,542 feet to a high of about 1,776 feet. The climb starts gently but gets steep near the beginning, with a grade of about 25% at about 0.22 miles. That section is the steepest part of the route, so plan on that when you ride in. The route is short enough to fit into a larger day of riding in the area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Olympia show July and August highs around 78°F with only about five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and around 20 wet days a month. That station sits about 1,600 feet below the route, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Greenline, a mountain biking route, lies just 0.1 mile away, and Wedekind is about 0.4 mile off. For a change of pace, the Crestline Trail and Capitol Peak are both within about a mile.
