Route 66 is an easy, short out-and-back mountain biking route in Washington, about a mile from the town of Henrys. The climb is gentle, with a total elevation gain of about 80 feet, and the trail reaches a high point of about 650 feet. The route is roughly 3 miles long, and the steepest stretch, a 10% grade, comes within the first tenth of a mile. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Landsburg show July and August highs around 77°F with only about seven wet days a month, while winter months average around 20 wet days and highs in the mid-40s. Several other spots sit close by. Stinger, a mountain biking route, is about 0.1 mile away, and the Upper Beaver Loop hike is about 0.3 mile off.
