The Chase Trail is a mountain biking route in Utah, about 1.5 miles from the town of Kamas. It is a short, hard trail that branches off from the high point of Saddle Loop. The climb to the top is only about 0.15 miles long and gains about 49 feet, but the real reward is the high-speed descent through aspen, oak and maple trees that follows. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Kamas show July highs around 84°F with lows near 50°F, and September cools to highs around 74°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet below the trail, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Dogs are allowed. The Saddle Loop Trail and the Short Fuse Trail both start within a quarter mile, and the Bottoms Up Trail is about 0.4 miles away. Ponderosa Group Campground is about 3.7 miles off.
