The Chase Trail is a mountain biking route in Utah, about 1.5 miles from the town of Kamas. It branches off from the high point of Saddle Loop and is an out-and-back ride of about 1.4 miles, with a one-way climb of 235 feet from a low point of 7,483 feet to a high of 7,730 feet. The trail is rated hard, and the descent is the highlight: a high-speed swoop through aspen, oak and maple trees. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Kamas show July highs around 84°F with lows near 50°F, and September cools to highs in the mid-70s. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Dogs are allowed. The Saddle Loop Trail and the Short Fuse Trail both start within a quarter mile, and the Bottoms Up Trail is about 0.4 miles away. Ponderosa Group Campground is about 3.6 miles off.
