Saddle Loop Trail is a mountain biking route in Utah, about 1.6 miles from the town of Kamas. It's a short, out-and-back loop that sits within the Escalador area, about 2.4 miles from the trailhead, and links a smooth, meandering ride through the trees with a flowy descent back to the top of Escalador. The trail is rated moderate. The climb rises about 160 feet over roughly 1.4 miles, from a low point of 7,193 feet to a high of 7,372 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Kamas weather station show July highs around 84°F and lows near 50°F, while winter brings frequent snow days. That station sits several hundred feet below the trail, so temperatures up top run a bit cooler. Other routes close by include Bottoms Up Trail, The Chase Trail and Upper Escalador Trail. For an overnight stay, Ponderosa Group Campground is about 3.9 miles away.
