Saddle Loop Trail is a short, moderate mountain biking route in Utah, about 1.5 miles from the town of Kamas. It sits on the Escalador side of the trail network, roughly 2.4 miles from the trailhead. The loop is a meandering, mostly smooth ride through the trees, with a flowy descent back to the top of Escalador. The trail is about 0.13 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 43 feet. That makes it a quick addition to a longer outing on Escalador. Dogs are allowed, so riders can bring a pet along. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Kamas show July highs around 84°F with lows near 50°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. The Chase Trail and Short Fuse Trail both start within a quarter mile, and Bottoms Up Trail is about 0.4 miles away for hikers. Ponderosa Group Campground, about 3.7 miles off, is the closest place to camp.
