Icebox is a mountain biking route in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, within the Ogden Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the ride covers about a mile from a low point of 5,184 feet to a high of 5,520 feet, with a total elevation gain of 326 feet. The route sits close to the Wheeler Creek trailhead, making it an easy addition to time spent on that stretch of forest road. For comfortable conditions, late spring and early fall are the sweet spots. Typical averages from the nearby Pineview Dam weather station run to highs around 66°F in May and 75°F in September. July is the warmest month, with highs near 87°F, and winter highs hover around freezing. The station sits roughly 580 feet below the route, so temperatures on the climb run a little cooler. Wheeler Creek and the Wheeler Creek Middle Fork hike are both about 0.4 miles away. Maples Campground is 1.6 miles off, and Killer Crag offers climbing about 2.6 miles from the route.
