Sam Henrie is an easy out-and-back hike in the Beaver Ranger District of Fishlake National Forest in Utah, about 2.8 miles long with an elevation gain of 838 feet. The trail starts at a low point of about 6,851 feet and climbs to a high of about 7,528 feet. The route is on natural surface, and the Forest Service allows both horses and bikes. It is open year-round, and the nearest town is Richfield, about 9.5 miles away. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 71°F in May and 80°F in September, while July averages about 90°F and winter brings highs in the low 40s and a few snowy days each month. Joe Lott is about 0.6 miles away, and Castlerock - Dry Creek is about 1.6 miles away. Castle Rock - Rec Site offers camping about 2.4 miles off, and Clear Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 3.1 miles away.
