Foster Falls is a climbing area in Tennessee's South Cumberland, a cluster of climbing spots that sit close together. The Dihedrals, Jimmywood and The Left Bunker all lie about 0.1 mile away, so the area works well as a single stop with several options within a short walk. The climbing here is a mix of sport routes and bouldering, with 13 routes in total. The sport routes run from 5.9 up to 5.12a, and the bouldering is graded from V3 to V6. Some of the named routes include Skipper at 5.9, Crawdaddy at 5.10a and Reptile at 5.12a. For timing, fall is the most comfortable season. Typical averages from the nearby Monteagle weather station show October highs around 68°F with lows near 47°F, and September and October see the fewest wet days of the year. The Fiery Gizzard Trail is about half a mile away, and Big Fiery Gizzard Creek offers paddling roughly 2.8 miles off. Raven Point Trail and Dog Hole Trail are both within about 4 miles.
