Mountain Beautiful Trail is a 2.8-mile out-and-back hike within Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in Tennessee, managed by the National Park Service. The trail rises from 1,673 feet to a high point of 1,955 feet, with a total elevation gain of 413 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.6 miles into the route, where the grade reaches 34%, and the hike is rated moderate. The most comfortable time to go is fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 78°F and lows near 61°F in September to highs around 67°F and lows near 51°F in October. Spring is similar, with April highs near 68°F. Several other routes start close by.
