Buena Vista is a bouldering area in Tennessee, about half a mile from the town of Ruby Falls. It sits among several other climbing spots, including The Boulders on Old Wauhatchie Pike and High Point, all within a tenth of a mile. The area is close to the Ruby Falls community, which makes it an easy stop for climbers already in the area. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes spread across the site. The grades run from V2+ to V8, with the median around V4-5. The hardest is Vista Tercera, a V8 boulder with a first ascent by Bryan Moncada. The routes are short and compact, so they work well for a quick session or a longer day with other climbing nearby. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 75°F with lows near 47°F, and April is similar at about 73°F by day and 45°F at night. Summer is hotter, with July and August highs near 89°F. The Guild Trail and Hardy Trail are both within half a mile for a walk after climbing. Chattanooga Creek, about 7 miles away, offers paddling in Georgia.
