Hidden Lake Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Tennessee, about 1.6 miles from the town of Summit. The trail is 1.3 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 405 feet, and it reaches a high point of 1,014 feet. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 0.4 miles in, where the grade reaches 14 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Chattanooga show October highs around 74°F with lows near 51°F, and April is similar. That station sits about 340 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. The hike takes about half an hour. Boulder Point Trail and Deer Hollow Trail both start within a tenth of a mile, and Dogwood Ridge Trail is about 0.3 miles away. For paddling, Wolftever Creek is about 3.6 miles off.
