Deep South Caves is a climbing area in Rhode Island, about 2 miles from the town of Centerville. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots and trails, so it works well as a stop in a day of exploring the surrounding area. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Coventry show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 74°F, while July climbs to about 85°F and January highs sit near 36°F. Several climbing areas lie close by, including Deep Woods Boulder about 0.8 miles away and Beach Pond at about 1.2 miles. The Deep Pond trail is roughly 1.8 miles off, and the Wood River, a fishing spot, is about 2.2 miles away.
