Hemlock Ledges is a climbing area in Rhode Island, about 2.5 miles from the town of Escoheag. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Deadwood, Normandy and Pirate ship wall all about 0.1 mile away, so it works well as part of a cluster of routes rather than a single destination. The area has 10 routes, mostly sport climbs with one trad route. The grades run from 5.6 to 5.10, with the median at 5.7. Among the named routes are Sand Bag at 5.6, Muscle Beach at 5.7 and Toe or Throw at 5.10, the hardest of the group. For a change from the rock, the Deep Pond trail and Tippecansett trail are both about half a mile away. The Wood River, a fishing spot, is roughly 3.5 miles off.
