Red XC Trail is a cross-country ski route in Laurel Ridge State Park in Pennsylvania, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is a short out-and-back, about 1.2 miles long, with a high point of 2,861 feet and a low of 2,810 feet. The climb is back-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.5 miles in, and the total gain and loss are each about 99 feet. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from the nearby Hidden Valley weather station show January highs around 32°F and lows near 17°F, while March runs a bit milder, with highs around 44°F and lows near 25°F. The trail sits close to several other routes. Blue XC Trail and Green XC Trail "B" are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Red & Blue XC Trail is also within a tenth of a mile. For climbing, Maple Wall is about 5.8 miles off.
