Burd Loop Trail is a short, easy cross-country ski route in Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is an out-and-back, about 1.7 miles long, with a total climb of 305 feet and a high point of 1702 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.09 miles from the start, with a 10% grade. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Chalk Hill show January highs around 34°F and lows near 15°F, while March runs a bit milder, with highs around 48°F.
