Chulens Trail is a short, easy cross-country ski route in Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is an out-and-back that covers about 0.6 miles, with a high point of 1,587 feet and a low of 1,552 feet. The climb is flat, and the total elevation gain and loss are each about 43 feet, so the route is a gentle loop rather than a steep climb. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show January highs around 37°F with about 10 snow days, while March brings highs near 50°F and only about five snow days. Snow days drop to near zero from May through September. The Burd Loop Trail and Sproul Loop Trail are both within a third of a mile, and the Kentuck Trail and Kentuck Campground are close by for hiking and camping.
