The 45 Area is a bouldering area in Pennsylvania, about 0.8 miles from Mount Gretna Heights. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with the Breakfast, Colflesh Boulder and Beautiful Day areas all within about a tenth of a mile. The Colflesh Area is also close by. The climbing here is all bouldering, with 20 routes spread across the area. The grades run from V0- up to V8, with the median around V3-4. Among the named routes are Eco Depot at V0-, Toxic Toys at V5 and Exhibit A at V8, which was first ascended by Ernie Colflesh. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Lebanon show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 76°F, while July peaks near 84°F. The Fraggle Rock Trail, a mountain biking route, is about 0.3 miles away. The Chautauqua Trail and Campmeeting Trail are both within about 1.5 miles for hiking, and the Cbt mountain biking route is about 1.4 miles off.
