Adit Rock is a climbing area in Smith Rock State Park in Oregon, on city-managed land. It sits among several other climbing spots, with The Mole and Staender Ridge both about 0.1 mile away and Fireplace Boulder at a similar distance. The Wolf Tree Trail is 0.4 mile off, and the Homestead Trail is 0.6 mile away. The area has nine routes, with five sport routes and four trad routes. Grades run from 5.5 to 5.12d, with World On Fire at 5.12d being the hardest. Parking Lot Crack is a trad route with a first ascent by Bob Bauman in 1960, and Lollypop League is a sport route at 5.5. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 79°F, while July and August average highs in the upper 80s.
