Greenhorn Trail (lower) is a mountain biking route in L.L. "Stub" Stewart State Park in Oregon, on city-managed land. It is a short, steep ride of about 0.2 miles, with a total climb of 51 feet and a drop of 128 feet. The trail is rated hard, and the steepest stretch comes within the first 0.05 miles. The lower section is more difficult than the upper one, and both share the same character: a challenging trail with man-made technical features. The route includes rollable jumps with wooden tabled surfaces and large dirt berm turns. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Vernonia show July and August highs around 77 to 78°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on 20 days a month. Link 'n' Pin and Shoofly Trail sit about 0.1 mile away, and Rinse and Repeat and Drip Torch Trail are about 0.2 mile off.
