Woodland Trail is a short loop hike of about 0.38 miles in Oregon's Philomath Unit, a little under half a mile from the town of Philomath. It's an easy route with a climb of only 31 feet, so the change in elevation is gentle rather than a challenge. The trail starts and ends within a few hundred feet of the same point, and the path is compact enough to fit into a quick stop. Late spring through early fall is the most comfortable stretch. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs in the low 80s with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 40s and rain on most days. Several other routes sit close by. The Forest Discovery Trail is about 0.2 miles away and the Intensive Management Trail about 0.4 miles. Mountain bikers can head to Calloway Creek Trail, about 0.7 miles off, and the Calloway Creek Community Trail is about 0.8 miles away.
