Wiley Camp is a hike in Oregon's Rogue-Umpqua Divide Wilderness, within the Diamond Lake Ranger District of Umpqua National Forest. It is rated easy and covers 2 miles each way, an out-and-back of about 4 miles round trip on a natural surface. The route starts at about 5,030 feet and ranges between a low of roughly 4,770 feet and a high near 5,370 feet. Expect about 590 feet of climbing one way and roughly 1,370 feet of total gain over the full round trip, since the trail both drops and climbs in each direction. The climbing is steady overall, but one short pitch near the 0.9-mile mark reaches about a 31 percent grade. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. A nearby weather station at Crater Lake, which sits about 1,100 feet higher than the trail's top, records typical July and August highs around 69°F and lows in the low 40s, with only about four wet days a month. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not, and the trail is not designated as accessible. Other hikes close by include Rogue Umpqua Divide and Windy Gap Trail, each about a mile away, and Hummingbird Meadows Trail, about 2.3 miles off. Camp Comfort Campground is roughly 9.4 miles away.
